My kids love it too. I love that it helps to develop fine motor skills & that it's reasonably priced, but I hate everything else about it.
It stinks, it's messy, and it requires too much supervision.
I only let them play with it in the kitchen, but somehow a sliver seems to make its way to the living room unnoticed & it gets stomped into the carpet. It's impossible to completely remove. I just want to throw it out.
DO IT!! I would so buy something that was capable of fast play dough clean up.
My kids do use it, but I have to admit, every time I hear the word I totally cringe.... someone gives some to the kids, I cringe. The kids both enjoy it and I like to join them in making things. But I hate it when the colors get mixed so I feel like I am always being too controlling with what I let them do. I have been better at telling myself to just leave them be to do what they want with it.

But yeah, they love the stuff!
I lol'd at this because I'm the same way. I opened a can of orange for Layla the other day and saw that she had mixed it with blue when she put it in the play-doh tube thingy that squashes the doh into different shapes, and cringed.
Also, why do we ALWAYS seem to get some as birthday presents? We have about 8 cans in use right now and 2 cases of eight stored away in the playroom.
For those moms who hate the smell of it, try this! I love the smell, texture and its non toxic! Plus it feels amazing on your hands while you make it. Warm, therapeutic. Check it out! Oh and by doubling the water you can use it for painting too!!
