Does anyone else have a LO who does this?
Xavier adds a 'y' to many words, primarily words ending with the /k/ sound, ie 'sock' is not 'sock', it's 'sock-y'. 'Truck' is 'truck-y'.
This morning he climbed under the dining room table and on top of his tow truck and couldn't get out. He was hollering, "Uh oh mommy! Help me! I 'stuck-y'!"

It's cute, but Layla never did this. As a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever encountered this. Just curious if anyone else has.

Too cute! Keelan doesn't do that. His "stuck" sounds something like profanity.

LOL no, Brynlee doesn't do that. That's cute though! When Brynlee says words that end in the K sound, she REALLY puts forth the CCCCCKKKK part. "I STUCCCCKKKK!!!"

She recently said "Oohfffa" a few times in a row. I am wondering if she was saying...*embarrassed*...."Oh ffff.....ck". You see, she poked me in the eye one day and I shouted that phrase...and that day, she said it many times. Oops.

This is one of those cute things I'm going to miss when he outgrows it.

Mandy, Layla used to say "dammick" because I accidentally said it a few times in front of her. I was mortified when she spilled something at 2 years old & screamed "dammick." I was so afraid she'd say it at school tht I kept her home one day.

Kynslee isn't into that yet. I have heard many kids do that though, and it is kinda cute.

My nephew had trouble with his Th, Tr, and S's and so things like Truck sounded like F_ck and Sit sounded like Sh_t - it wasn't the best when you had to explain to others why he loved F_cks so much but kinda funny to hear him tell the dog S_it doggie Sh_t

Sad to say that Haley does this simply because she's copying me and my husband...we always do that with her! I know there are mixed opinions of baby-talking to your kids, but we do it...
