So as it turns out, I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and have probably had it most of my life. I don't know why it went undetected so long. All my bloodwork I've ever had done shows my hormones as normal, my periods aren't great, but not extrememly irregular. I ovulate, I had three kids without even trying. And I'm not obese! But the U/S I had on Friday showed multiple cysts on both ovaries. Since I was 15 I've had male hair growth that not even laser surgery can get rid of, so I knew something was wrong. I'm on Metformin and Aldactone. One pill keeps my insulin in check, which can get out of hand with PCOS. The other pill helps with diminishing the hair. I wish I had known earlier, but better late than never, right?
