It just needs to dry up here so the kids can play in the grass!

It's sunny here today too, just still windy. We had a storm overnight. The temperature dropped down pretty low and we lost power for a while. Seems it's mostly over now though other than leftover wind.

Grocery shopping is kind of annoying :/ especially if you already have a busy day.

It's so windy here! A huge branch just fell down. The top part hit DH's car but the thick part didn't so I don't think it did any damage. I think I'll keep the kids in this evening

My oldest really wants a puppy but he's afraid of dogs. He promises, though, that he won't be afraid of his own dog

I hope so! We really want a bigger dog but we don't have room right now. We have been thinking about getting a smaller dog now and when we move adding a second bigger dog but we are still in the debating stages LOL

he does seem to do better with puppies than adult dogs so chances are good he would be fine bringing a puppy home and growing up with it.

That would be fun to have a puppy. Maybe it'll also help him get over his fear of dogs by growing up with his own.

I'm busy getting ready for another JBF sale. I hope we do good as I have lots more stuff I went through and would like to get rid of it.

Tomorrow DH and I take Kynslee over to inlaws and then go work the sale. It's DH's birthday and I keep trying to convince him to after we work go out to dinner and have a date night. But, he thinks he'll be too tired. Saturday eve would be the only other time that would really work if not. I just hope he'll want to go out sometimes as I'd love a date night just the two of us!!!

The smaller dog might help ease him into it maybe?
I was scared of big dogs as a kid but not small ones.

I agree with the not being scared of your own dog theory. I was terrified of dogs as a kid and into adulthood until DH convinced me to get one of our own. We got a lab puppy. Only dog in the world I'll cuddle up with. I'm still not a dog fan, but I'm no longer terrified of them.

I cleaned out and defrosted my freezer today. Anyone ever done that before? It was my first time, and I was not prepared for the amount of water that drained out of it! What a mess!

I remember defrosting when I was a little kid but all fridges since then have been self defrosting so no ice build up to melt and clean out!

We don't defrost our fridge/freezer, just the stand alone freezer. It only requires it every ? many years. We've owned ours for over 7 years and this will be our first time defrosting it.

I went to a meeting about the new Traditional school here last night. It was somewhat interesting but hard to really explain. We are going to give it a try.

Ours is a stand alone freezer too, it's an upright deep freeze and it doesn't have the self defrosting feature on it like my old chest freezer had. It's been 6 years since I bought it and this is the first time I've defrosted it. It really needed it.
