Weight Issue: Dr. is concerned about her weight so she had a urine sample and blood work.....all came back NORMAL. Phew I was relieved. We were told to keep her on a high calorie/high fat diet still and to still go to the Geneticist and Neurologist. Goes back to the Geneticist in May for an exam. Neurologist next week.
Feet Issue: Her PT feels she needs orthotics for significan ankle pronation. We had the RX from the Dr....now just need to find a place that takes our insurance for them. Maybe once she has orthotics, she will be more stable standing.
Cruising: Still cruising and not walking yet...but definitely getting more comfortable on her feet. She pushes her shopping cart/walker around the living room and is getting pretty good at using it as a means of transportation from one side of the room to the other.
Feeding Issues: Still has a ton of sensory issues impacting her eating. She will now touch a few things with her fingers...but nothing messy like applesauce or anything without freaking out. Still no clue how to chew so we are still eating mostly pureed food. It is getting really boring.
Words: Today for the first time she said "Up" with a "P" sound at the end....up to this point, she just said "uh" for "up". She has been consistently pointing to Daddy and saying "Da" lately. She is trying to say "milk" now but all that comes out is "Mmmm"...but we will take that since she doesn't like to make any sounds where her lips have to touch each other.
Cuteness: Still as cute and sweet as ever. She will put her mouth on my cheek if I say "Can Mommy have a kiss?".......has the cutest giggle......tonight at dinner, she "fed" a bear something on a spoon and said "yum, yum, yum, yum, yum" while holding the spoon by the bear's mouth. We always do that but she only copied us with the motions but tonight added sound effects.
