So, Lilli's culture from her surgery (sinus flush) grew strep so we have to give her antibiotics. She's on augmentin. HATES it! She refuses to take it so we have to basically hog tie her to give it! On top of that! She has THE WORST EVER diaper rash! I have never seen it this bad. She was throwing up in the beginning, and then had diarrhea. Horrible diarrhea now. I mean 3 in an hour. She's on about #7 today. I feel bad 'cuz we were out and I didn't know she pooped 'cuz it doesn't have a smell, and idk how long it was on there, so that's part of what caused the rash. Blistered on top of it. So, we went to BRU and got this:
TriDerma Baby Severe Diaper Rash Fast Healing Cream - Genuine Virgin Aloe - Babies "R" Us
So hopefully this will work. I put butt paste on there immediately and then desitin when we got home. I just put some of the new stuff on, so I hope she can get some relief. I hate she keeps having diarrhea and making it worse. Anyone else have any good diaper rash remedies?

When Brynlee would get diaper rash, we let her air out/go naked a lot. She had a bad one last summer so we went outside for hours (with a shirt, hat, and shoes) in our backyard and she played diaper free.

Also, we put butt paste on and then A&D ointment on top. It acts as a barrier when she has diarrhea. Also, try not to use regular wipes. They burn the rash even more. It's gross but we would use her baby wash cloths to wipe her instead of her wipes.

Try to get yogurt in her to try and prevent a yeast infection. I hope it goes away soon. Poor baby.

I agree with some diaper free time. It always helps Alex when she has a rash. I also agree with not using the baby wipes. (though I don't think using wash cloths is gross since I cloth diaper and cloth wipe lol) You could even tear up an old tshirt and use those with some warm water for wipes and they'd be a lot less irritating on her bum than store wipes can be.

I completely agree with Mandy, especially about the double layering of the diaper cream (zinc oxide stuff) and either vaseline or A&D ointment.

I agree with Mandy too! Poor baby!

We also have to hold Keelan down for medicine, even the good tasting ones.

E is on augmentin right now too, I think! (his medicine is downstairs and Im not going to check... lol). It's for his NINTH ear infection (third since tubes!). He's having loose stools also, poor guy. And a diaper rash, although he had a pretty nasty rash a couple weeks ago also which is unusual for him. (He doesn't normally get rashes.) I'm lucky though, E looooves to take medicine. haha!
