For you ladies who have hardwood floors, what do you use to clean it? I've tried a couple different cleaners, and they all seem to leave a flim on the floors. We built the house, and moved in in November. The construction manager suggested water and vinegar, which I used and it seemed to work all right. We had a few floorboards replaced a a couple months (they were damaged when we moved in) and the hardwood guy told us NOT to use water on our hardwoods. So then we started using a couple different cleaners, and none seem to work well.

I'm at a loss now! I need help!

Orange glo? What kind of hardwoods are they? Are they sealed? The problem is you don't want them to get soaked but a little water isn't going to hurt them. As long as you dry them fairly quickly.

I use the shark steam cleaner. It just uses plain water, but as a steam so the floors don't get very wet and it evaporates quickly so there's no puddles or water sitting on them. It's worked very well for us.
