Anything your little ones seem to be into lately on TV?

Gary seems to be into anything with animals. He is big on animal sounds my favorite is his cat he says "Meelowww" I love that he throws an "L" in there. lol He seems to LOVE curious george all of a sudden and anything with singing. He dances and "sings" along. And of course, Jeopardy. lol.

My DD has always loved Team Umizoomi so when it's on, Cody's super into it, too! Also loves Spongebob. Sometimes I'll just put on the Sirius XM music channel and he'll dance!

He likes Elmo and Octonauts or Bubble Gappies... or any show that involves real animals/pets. He doesn't actually sit and watch anything, but for those mentioned, he will stop what he's doing and watch for a few minutes before moving along.

Eve's not that into TV now that she is super mobile. But when cartoons are on in the background, and any music comes on, she will stop & stare at the TV and start dancing so cute!

When she DOES sit and watch, she loves Doc McStuffins, Jake & the Neverland Pirates, Raa Raa, Special Agent Oso, Abadas, Animal Mechanicals, Jungle Junction, Slim Pig, Little Einsteins, Kidzone (I am not sure but I think this is somewhat of a NZ show?)... yeah that's all I cant think of

Gio doesn't sit and actually watch something but he'll stop for a few moments to watch Sesame Street and Thomas The Train. I've been watching Avatar: The Last Airbender (ahha yes it's a cartoon ) and i'll have it on in the background as i do stuff around the house...when the credits roll at the end he gets really excited and runs over to the TV to dance and clap

The tv is never really on in this house besides once during breakfast and then again in the early evening when I'm cooking (like right now). J will totally sit and watch for 30-60 mins. He is side by side with his brother as we speak with his head on his shoulder watching Word World.

They are so flipping cute together!

His favs are Curious George, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, & Go Diego Go. (both boys are slightly obsessed with animals LOL) Anything else he will only sit for about 15 minutes. ..the other 3 he will sit until it ends ..& then bring you the remote control and say "Thank you" if he wants more. HAHA!

Drake will usually not sit and watch a whole tv show. He is too busy running around playing. Once in a while he will sit and watch a whole show. But he likes Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Bubble Guppies, Chuggington, Special Agent Oso, Pocoyo and music; Choo Choo Soul and the Jake and the Neverland Pirates videos.

As I put it on this morning it dawned on me I forgot to mention his absolute favorite... LeapFrog!

They have a lot of the line on Netflix and he LOOOOVES it! They have different ones for letters, numbers, shapes, opposites, phonics, etc.. I also put the Letter Factory one on a dvd for my truck. If we are on a long ride I will turn it on for them

Sesame Street and Dinosaur Train. We'll keep them on more in the back ground but Joe will watch the Elmos world section and the Word on the Street part of Sesame and he loves to dance whenever Dinosaur train has music going

Oh, and I wanted to add we do not have cable. We have loads of DVD's and Amazon prime which is awesome! Just like netflix, but free if you have Amazon Prime shipping.

Katelyn watches Seasame Street, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake, and Superwhy mostly. I think her favorite is Mickey, she will actually watch that for a little while.

Did you ever see that study they did on young children and their attention spans after watching SpongeBob? It's a very interesting read. ..& it's not just SpongeBob.. but any fast-paced cartoon.. You might like to read it

SpongeBob SquarePants Bad for Children - NYTimes.com

I'm not telling you not to watch it. Just some random info I found a while back..

1 I don't really have faith in the whole ADHD diagnosis. I am sure there are legitimate cases out there but I think it's extremely over diagnosed. 2nd, That artical makes a lot of sense, but I don't think that it applies to babies that mearly dance to the song and move on ot something else. Which is what she does normally. I think it's because our TV is so high up so unless she's on the couch or highchair it's a pain to see it. I remember at the end of Caleb's pregnancy we would sit down and watch Arthur She loved that show. It's crazy how we both are watching the same shows I grew up with! lol My brothers are insane, it might be spongebob, or lack of structure, who will ever know!

Gavin loves Yo Gabba Gabba and SuperWhy. We put on a lot of learning dvd's during the day ( leapfrog, colortime, babycenter) just because the tv is on a lot for background noise so if he is going to watch something, he might as well have some knowledge seep in too lol.
