Yep, Lydia has it For us, daycare has been the worst thing. We put her in at 10 months and I swear every 3 weeks she is sick with something new. It's tough leaving your baby to go to work especially when sick but sucks when they are ALWAYS sick and your boss is no longer so understanding. If I could ever get a day off, one when she is NOT sick, I need to go daycare hunting. I dont think they are really cleaning/disinfecting on a daily mention. Not to mention we have had an issue with with biting. She has been bit like 7 times in a few month. Anywho, I know it's not common to affect adults as often as children, I am praying we don't catch it as well. Sorry for the rant ladies!

Oh no!! Ouch!! poor lil girl.

How long does H,F&M generally last? I hope not too long

One of the reasons I don't want to send Eve to any form of daycare is because of the same thing you mentioned above. She will always be sick. So what is the point?? I would be paying for her to catch illnesses and stay home with me

I hope Lydia feels better soon

I am so sorry! That is no fun! I hope she feels better soon! I am so sorry she keeps getting bit!

I agree with Gabbs. I do not send Drake to daycare since I am a SAHM but I would not for a number of reasons, but one is def because the kids seem to always be sick. I worked in a day care for a couple years and kids were always sick, and once the first kid that was sick is better they are sick again.

I am sorry to read this Hope everything gets better!! Poor thing!

Is there any place else you could send her? Gary goes to a sitter and he is not Always sick. Besides his asthma that acts up every couple of months, he is just fine. But it's not a daycare with a bunch of kids, its a SAHM. I d k. just a thought.

Well I can totally sympathize with you. Both DH and I work and all our kids have been sick way too often. I could go on and on about that. My last boss was very understanding, even though I used up all my sick/vac time by May of that year. I've only been at this job 3 1/2 months, and I've already had to take time off when I don't have any sick/vac time yet. Luckily the boss hasn't seemed too unhappy yet about it. I cross my fingers every day.

As far as hand, foot, and mouth disease.....my older two both had it. It doesn't last long - sometimes a fever goes along with it, sometimes not. The hardest thing I found was that because of the mouth sores, they would NOT eat or drink anything!

It's very important daycares sanitize VERY well. Sounds like you may need to find another one. Good luck and I hope Lydia feels better soon!

Poor Lydia, I hope she gets bet better soon, I know weekends is family time, but if there are places open on the weekends, it might be worth it to check out some other daycares... So sorry she is sick all the time, I heard that about daycares though, because everyone sends their kids when sick, and spread it to everyone

Sounds like a daycare thing. I think Madison has only gotten sick from daycare twice. And she's been in daycare since she was 7 weeks old. I don't know if it's a cleanliness issue or maybe because she was breastfed for 10 months that it may have given her a boost. Who knows, hope she feels better

The doctors said she can't return until Tuesday. She did run high fever for 2 days, but yep just the blisters in her mouth and throat are bothering her. Little appetite and drooling like an infant from trying not to swallow. I wish I could afford not to work, working on some different options so hopefully pans out soon. The ladies

Bummer. Sorry to hear.

It may or may not be the daycare. I have a wonderful SAHM keep my 2 kiddos and in the wintertime they constantly passed their germs. Seems like all the kids stayed sick. So, regardless of daycare....sometimes they just pick up things easily as they're building their immune systems.
