Yup Im sure some of you read on facebook. My baby girl had surgery May 20th at 9 pm.
It started when she was 6 wks 5 days old. Projectile vomiting. I went to ped and he stated reflux and to watch her.... it continued..... So a week later I called a gastroenterologist on my own. I knew something wasn't right. I looked up her symptoms and found pyloris stenosis. I asked if she had that, the gastro said unlikely since she is a girl. But let's do a gi study anyway to verify.
Well May 20th, we had gi study done. And found out her stomach wasn't emptying right.
2 hours later they called me and told me to bring Madalyn back to get an ultrasound.
2 hours later we were told to go straight to ER and a surgeon will be coming down.
She had/has pyloric stenosis.
Yup so she had surgery late Monday and I was heartbroken.
She is so much better now, I'm so happy. She's happier, and no more projectile vomiting!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!
She is doing amazing!!! She has gained almost 2 lbs since her surgery. And hasn't projectiled vomited. YAY!!!!!!!!!!! She still battles with reflux. Poor thing. Smells of acid a bit usually. But is now on Axid for that. Seems to be doing better. She is giggling from time to time and SMILES ALL THE TIME. And is not a talker. Goodness. 530 am and she sits there cooing for hours. hahahaha. I am so in love. Emma adores her. Her tummy is healed up quite well and soon you shouldn't know she even had surgery. Thanks ladies for caring
