Well this weekend didn't go as planned with DH being in the hospital so plans have changed. I was going to take him a balloon, candy and a craft Kynslee would make for daddy to his work on Friday and then actual Father's day we were going to go to a nice bbq place we all enjoy. But, his doc sent him to hospital on Friday and we just got released this morning. DH is relaxing now and we are all worn out. So, we are going to order pizza and take it over to inlaws and DH wants to watch the basketball game.
We went out looking at houses. I got him a card and a picture that our daughter finger painted. He joked that his gift was that she didn't get it everywhere. His birthday was on Friday, so he asked that I not do much for Father's Day because I did a lot for his birthday. He probably also said that because he knows he didn't really do anything for me for Mother's Day and would have felt guilty if I had. So I just got him a card and made him another special dinner.
Saturday had been my IL's 40th anniversary party, and we ended up spending the night at their house. So Sunday morning, we cleaned the house and yard up. We were all exhausted to boot. When we got home around 3, we spent time resting/relaxing and had something simple for dinner. Nothing very big or fancy for DH, the way he prefers it.
