my poor little guy got this pretty bad 2 weeks ago.
I didn't know he had been exposed to it (still not sure where he got it) but I think he was exposed a few days before he got his needles and then I think getting his needles right before his symptoms came through made it so much worse. He had a fever after his needles (but of course I thought that was due to the needles!) He was fine on the Thursday morning and by the time I picked him up from daycare the backs of his knees and bum were covered in a rash and blisters. I took him to the doctor (who thought it was a staph infection). He didn't get the blisters on his hands, feet or mouth until 4 days later.
Because you're contagious before any symptoms show up, he shared with all the kids at daycare too
It's been 2 weeks now and you can still see the spots he had blisters all over the backs of his legs, quite clearly. I think he's going to have some scars
