My first was a hospital birth with epidural. I had her on my due date (went into labor naturally). This time, I'd really like to give going natural a fair shot. I made it to 6cm last time and caved. I'd like to prepare by going to the gym and staying active.
I found it easier with my second because I knew what to expect and how to cope, whereas with the first I was induced (so contractions were stronger), and I was scared and couldn't relax enough to just "ride the waves", as I like to call it.
I will likely do just like last time:epidural in the hospital with my family doc. He is awesome, the labor/delivery not so much. But I had AWFUL back labor with DS and I think if it weren't for that I could have gone natural. I pushed for 2 hrs, and had quit pushing the "button" when I started pushing so I could "feel everything"...and I really did feel everything!!! So I'm guessing it will be the same this time around, unless I'm not in back labor...in which case I may try to go natural
Im thinking Im going to have to have a c-section. I had a major surgery where they cut throught the uterine wall about 5 years ago, and they told me at that time that that greatly increased my risks for having to have c-sections.... but this is my first, so we'll see
