have you given up your tea or coffee?

My last few pregnancies I was so perfect. I was obsessed with being careful. I still ended up with premature babies every time, still ended up with tragity in the end. This time I have decided not become crazy about it. I dont want the pressure. I will be careful not to do anything stupid or really careless but I am taking a much more laid back approach this time around.

I still have a tea everynight or at least a few times a week.

I was trying to go without my tea in the morning but I just couldnt do it! I absolutely could not function. So I figure since I already dont drink coffee and we dont keep soda in our home then if I had one cup of tea a day when needed that it was alright.

I normally drink about 3+ cups of coffee per day. I am giving up my 3 cups of coffee....and only having one cup of coffee per day. It has been a bit rough at work, but my excitement about pregnancy has really given me energy in the mornings. Everything I have read says one cup of coffee and/or tea per day is okay. So I am not going to worry about my one-cup of coffee per day. I'm glad you are feeling a little more relaxed this time!

Yup, I enjoy my cup of tea in the morning. The only change is making sure it's English/Irish breakfast so I get a bit of whole milk in there too for the calcium/vit D. My docs/midwife's rec's were for a cup a day with no problem, and everything I've read says it's not an issue.

Except that now that MS has progressed, tea no longer appeals, but I do depend on my can of Coke to settle my stomach.

I agree with you -- being relaxed (except for the biggest things to do/not do) is the healthiest was to go about this for me.

I live in Nevada so I should def be drinking more water as summer progresses, but there's just something about iced tea I just can't give up! I do make it half-caff & go light on the sugar tho, and when I get migraines or an upset stomach, there is nothing like a pepsi to help calm things down. One can only tho!

I drink coffee during pregnancy usually, but only one cup a day. Right now though my nausea is keeping me from it. It just doesn't appeal to me right now in the least.

I do drink one cup of coffee a day, and a half cup in the afternoon if I have a headache. My mid-wives gave me the ok. They said as long as I kept it under two cups a day I was good to go. I had coffee with my son and he's healthy (and probably had a happier mommy because of it!)

I only use to drink "one cup of coffee a day" however it held around 16oz, I think a typical cup of coffee is suppose to be 6oz... Its easier for me to eliminate than to ration myself.
