Anyone know if these numbers are right? My GP sent me for bloodwork and I got these numbers from his secretary today from last Tuesday (I am 6 weeks 4 days today). It was 40 days LMP or 5 weeks 5 days and the level was 21 850.
I searched online for numbers and that seemed just above the normal level so I started to break out in a cold sweat at the thought of twins. I have begged for 5 years to get my dh to agree to a third - he would freak out if it was twins!!!
Anyone know if I can stop sweating because I don't see my midwife until July and I do have a req for an ultrasound if I wanted it but is it too early to tell?

No! I would say by 6 weeks you'd be able to see two sacs!!! Ahhhh I hope you get an us soon !!! That would be cool to have twins.

It's not too early at all to see if there is 1 or 2 or 3 ...lol You can see a sack at 5 weeks according to my U/S tech. They only saw 1 sack for me at 5 1/2 weeks so only 1 baby Hope you get in to see...did your Doctor seem to think those numbers are high? I would call and ask them what they think. Please KUP!!

I start to break into a sweat at the thought of twins. My dh is so happy with the two we have and he doesn't want a third, let alone a fourth eeks. I am going to call and book an ultrasound I am so nervous about it.

By now you could at least see the sacs and probably the baby and heartbeat! I don't know why so many of y'all docs draw HCG at this point. It is a good indicator of how the pregnancy is going between 4 and 5 weeks, but gets iffy once you get past 5 weeks. At that point, a u/s becomes way more reliable.

We were able to see two sacs, two beans, and two heartbeats at 6w4d, so it isn't too early to tell what is going on in there. You HCG sounds pretty high to be honest

I made an ultrasound appointment for tomorrow afternoon since now I have progressed to having nightmares about having two. Hoping for one happy little beating heart. I will keep you all posted!

Officially scared...lol Atleast my HCG levels are normal to low

OK only one!!!! Yay, with a cute sounding heartbeat! I had to get a comedian technician though. During the first part I told her that I was nervous about twins. She said OK, go pee now and then we will do the internal and talk about whether it is twins or triplets. I almost pooped my pants (except I wasn't wearing any). Funny joke lady!
