So I'm 20 weeks now and lately I swear I'm noticing a tightening in my uterus here and there. It's not painful at all but feels funny. This morning I was laying on my back in bed and put my hands on my belly and noticed that it felt hard and how it does after an O from DTD. It's too early for Braxton Hicks right? Is anyone else having this? This is baby #2 for me if it makes any difference?

That happens to me once and awhile too. And always after an O. I figure that since it's sporadic and doesn't hurt at all, I shouldn't worry about it.

Actually medically Braxton Hicks can start as earlier at 8 weeks, its the natural process of your uterus growing. I've had way more 'tightening" this pregnancy then my previous 2 and def much earlier. No need to worry especially if painless.

Those are BHs and totally normal! I've just now started getting them more regularly. They work to tone the uterus all throughout pregnancy. And I get them after an O too. A good way to measure fundal height, lol!

Jo, I agree about the fundal height! I can't figure it out unless my uterus is contracted.

I wound up calling the doctor becuase I was having more than 4 an hour. He told me I can either come to the hospital (that's where he is now) to be put on a monitor and given an IV or stay home, rest and drink lots of fluids. I told him I'll stay home but I'm to call back if they don't stop.

I don't think my fluid intake is that bad and I haven't been out in the heat or doing anything really strenuous. I guess maybe I'm still not drinking enough? I'm now pounding seltzer as we speak. Hoping this lets up.
