How is everyone sleeping...or not sleeping these days? I'm not! Since Friday I haven't slept more than an hour at a time at night and it's truly affecting my mood and my job performance. I can't wait for my appointment today so I can ask if there is anything mild and over the counter that I can take periodically to get some rest until baby girl arrives. Otherwise I can't function much longer like this! Lol!

Right there with you, I haven't been sleeping good the last few nights. I have Three kids sick and whatever they have I now have. We are all going to the Dr. this morning to try and get some relief. But my lack of sleep is about to kill me, I can not function without sleep.

The past 2 days I've been so incredibly uncomfortable and haven't slept well. It seems that I get BH every single night around 9pm to about 11pm. I wouldn't be so bothered by them if they were actually doing something, but I'm pretty positive I'm still all closed up! I'm so ready to pop this kid out so hopefully not too much longer

I have been sleeping horribly for a while...tossing and turning, waking up to try to get comfortable, hip pain, etc. I'm so ready to not be pregnant anymore.

(((hugs)))

I could have written this post. I am concerned because it is impacting my job performance and highlighting my hormonal craziness. I need some good rest in spans of more than 1-2 hours at a time.

Maybe they will let you take a Tylenol PM or Benedryl to help things...

I am right there with you ladies. I have been having like restless leg syndrom or something. My legs dont hurt but when I stop moving them they get weird feeling. Also my kids have decided to share their cold with me so I have been coughing a lot at night as well as not able to get comfortable. When I cough I have to pee so I get up to go to the bathroom and then have a hard time getting comfortable again. (started to think about putting a big pad on)

I know my doctor mentioned taking Benadryl, and while it does work it makes me feel groggy the next day. It also makes me feel super cranky because I'm groggy.
I've learned to run on little sleep. Some nights are worse than others. When I was pregnant with DD1 I really felt it because I didn't sleep and had to be up at 5 am for work and then keep going till about 8pm when I got home. I vowed never to work again while pregnant. I hope your doctor can help you find a solution soon.

Normally you can take a Benadryl for the sleeplessness (and coincidentally it works for my RLS, as well) but they don't suggest you take it in the last few weeks of pregnancy because it can cause respiratory issues with baby. I haven't taken any Benadryl in probably a month. I wake up every hour to roll over in bed and/or pee.

Something I found that works to help calm the RLS a bit, at least enough to fall asleep, (and this might be TMI) is orgasm. I swear it works.. you don't have to full on have sex, just have an orgasm, no matter your chosen method.

I was just about to post on my facebook about sleep. Lol. I do not sleep good at all. Last night I got about 4 hours, and even in those 4 hours I would wake up about every hour to roll over cause my hips hurt so bad. I cant wait to be able to sleep on my stomach again! Guess this is just practice for what we have coming in the next few weeks!

I'm in the same boat as you. I was up all night last night. I have very broken up sleep and can't function correctly either. I too am going to ask at my next appointment. Because, my family is kinda suffering from my lack of sleep. good luck to you! Hopefully, you can get some help.

I just thought I was getting in practice of not sleeping for when he actually gets here.. Sometimes I swear I'm up every 30 minutes to hour and a half.

I'm really uncomfortable at night and can't stay asleep. Last night was the worst and I was having some stomach pain, felt clammy, and a little nauseous all night long. I even checked my temperature because I thought I had a fever. I didn't have a fever but felt off all of last night.

I had my weekly OB appointment today and I'm 3cm dialated. Last week I was barely a fingertip dialated, so it looks like the pains last night were pre-labor pains. I'll take another sleepless night if it'll mean going into labor

I wake up about 3 times a night to pee but other than that I sleep like a rock! Now, I am going to tall to my dr about it tomorrow since yesterday i woke up at 9:15 and went back to bed at 11:30 to sleep for 2 more hours and my butt was still dragging. Today I had tons of energy though after a good solid sleep last night. We have an awesome new mattress though. I think it is latex instead of springs and I have 2 pillows between my thighs instead of one. 1 pillow was no where near enough anymore.
