I'm having what feels like muscle spasms in my back down into my bottom. I took a hot shower and just let the water beat on it but no relief.. now i'm laying in bed and still the pain is awful. Any ideas what else to do for it? Tempted to call my doctor in a few but don't want to be a pain.

Could be sciatic pain. Does it almost feel like a bolt of electricity shooting? That's how mine felt last pregnancy. I went to a chiropractor and it made things MUCH better - well it took the pain away completely actually. Thankfully I haven't really had it this time around.

I was also going to suggest sciatic pain. If you can do a chiropractor you should go for it. If not, the only thing you can do is rest and maybe talk to your doc about a muscle relaxer.

Yea. I have an appointment tomorrow so I will try and wait to ask about it then. My MIL ended up coming over and watching the boys so I was able to just lay there until it subsided a bit. Dreading it coming back again though!! Idk if it was sciatic pain or what but it felt like someone was grabbing the muscles in my back and at the top of my bum and squeezing them. I thought I'd experienced sciatica before and it was more of a sharp pain and always went away a lot faster but maybe I was wrong.. I dunno.

Did it come and go? Could it be back labor?

Oh no - that sounds awful! All I can add is try a heating pad if you have it, and my dr's office says BenGay is ok (though I try to use it rarely), and rest, rest rest, I know that's hard with working and the kids though

It did come and go my MIL kept saying back labor as well but I really don't know. I was terrified of going to work last night and it starting up again so I ended up calling out. (If I was to have to leave work there would only be 1 CNA to 44 patients but if I called out one would stay so they had 2.) But after resting up yesterday and last night I actually feel a lot better. Doctors this afternoon, I'm kinda hoping she will check my cervix so I can at least know where I stand.
