Obviously I am going to have gained weight.
Obviously it looks like there is a basket ball under my shirt.
Obviously it shouldn't be long before I "pop"
Obviously SHUT UP

Sorry but this is a rant, and I am so sick and tired of people telling me crap that I either already know but it's rude to point out, or isn't true at all.

Today's comment "you look like your carrying twins"!

Gee thanks because I'm sure in some way in your twisted head you thought that would sound like a compliment? I am ready for this baby and to get my body back. If I feel the need to avoid people till she gets here its only because people are rude and insinsitive.

Ugh. End rant.

And you reply..."And I'm sorry it looks like YOU didn't inherent the smart genes in your family."

Sorry.

Ugh. People are stupid. Personally, I would respond with just as obvious, rude remarks or flat-out call them out on it.... "Did you really think that was something appropriate to say?"

*Lurking*

I had people telling me that when I was 6 months pregnant - I feel your pain. Here is a site to check out - the blogger is hilarious and she has some fantastic comments to say back when people say inappropriate things.

People just don't know what to say, but want to make a comment/ start a dialogue about your (obviously) impending new baby. I think people just like to talk about pregnancy in general. I usually start with "How far along are you?" or "How much longer left?" when chatting with pregnant Mommies, but some are not exceptionally tactful in their efforts to start a conversation. *shrugs I'm sure there's almost never any malice behind their words.

Yeah- I decided the worst is once you go over your due date. I have had like 42 people call/text "your STILL pregnant?" Even the nurse at the clinic said it like they have never seen someone go full term. There was even a rumor on facebook that I had my baby so now people seem like annoyed that I haven't. My inlaws call like everyday and wonder "wheres that baby???" Well its in my belly and when I know something I'll let you know.

No way! It's the BEST thing about going "overdue", for me. I love when people ask "When are you due?" and you answer "Last Wednesday," or "Yesterday," or whatever and their eyes get all huge and they look at you with that fear in their eyes like the baby might just drop out of you that very second. I find it very funny.

Me too! It cracks me up! I was hoping someone would ask me today so I could laugh at their reaction.

My kids got to play for free at the indoor inflatable park yesterday when I told the girl it was my due date. I have known her for a while but her response was hilarious. "Oh Lord please don't have a baby here. If you do the fire station is right across the street..... but please don't have a baby here!" What is the fireman going to do? Hose me down? Come to find out they had a pregnant mom in there a couple months ago who freaked out the whole time because it was close to her due date and raining.

Yesterday at toddler group I had the leader say "you have another three weeks don't you?" "No I'm due in two days" she looked shocked lol! I've had the twins comments too!
When pregnant with my first daughter I only looked 5 months pregnant at full term, I had one lady ask when I was due and I told her I already was she was very shocked

Yeah the comments are annoying for me. "You haven't had that baby yet??" "When is he getting here?" "You know you are suppose to walk, have sex, eat spicy foods etc right?" My favorite - "Hurry up and have him, we're ready to meet him"

You really think the mother of the child that has carried him for 9 months isn't?! I get that people feel like they have to say something when they run into you, but when people go out of their way (text you, call you, write on FB wall) to say something it's annoying to this overdue mama lol
