So about an hour and a half ago I started greeting this feeling of a ton of pressure really low..like where my pantie line would be. It doesn't feel like menstral cramps at all it just feels like a lot of pressure. And it happens every 2-5 minutes. It hurts but it's nothing insane. And it doesn't last very long at all. There is no way that its contractions because it happens so close together. If they were contractions then I would have gotten them farther apart and they would have gotten closer over time but these just started this way. Anyways.. Is this normal? I don't feel like anything is wrong.. I just don't know what it is. Baby is still active like usual. Any one able to tell me anything?
Also, I have had a few Braxton hicks earlier in pregnancy and it didn't feel anything like this. Also I don't think I would have this many Braxton hicks so close together..
Update: so I was wrong, those were contractions! Started at 7:30... Couldn't sleep.. Called doctor at 1:06 and she said to go in. So I went to the hospital at 1:40 and I was dilated to a 3. I had to wait till I was a 4 before they would give me the epi but it didn't take too long. Contractions started to hurt really bad and I started throwing up so I got some meds and the epi at 5:15am and at 12:08pm my baby Kylie was born! She is 7lbs 12oz and 18 and 1/2 inches long. Full head of dark hair looks just like her dad! I haven't slept in a couple days now so I'm a little irritable... But I'm holding her in my arms and I am the happiest person alive. her dad has been amazing.
Anyways I'll post a better story later when I have 2 hands I'm in love again.
That's how my contractions were all day before I went into active labor (during active labor they moved to my cervix). Before I went into labor they were as close as 2-3 mins apart. It could be the start of something!
I hope that it is the start of something..but I hope it changes into labor fast because its been a few hours now and still the same thing.. I have been in bed trying to fall asleep but I can't because they keep waking me up. I am having more... Discharge.. As well. Sorry tmi but idk if that means anything either. I just don't want to assume that I'm in labor and call the doctor for nothing. I'm sure in labor I would be in mor pain than this.
If you're tired and can't sleep take a bath or shower. If it's the beginning of real labor it certainly won't stop it, but if they're just 'warm-up' contractions then a bath or shower can help your body relax and stop.

Could definitely be labor, that is how all mine start and I would have sworn they weren't contractions until I hit transition because I expected them to hurt more. Hope you are holding your little one soon!
