I've had the paragard for a month and I love it. I figure it will be a good back-up until my period comes back regularly and if it's real heavy, I'll get it pulled and go back to NFP. DH is completely set on not having anymore kids so I hope paragard works for a while until we can truly make a decision if more kids for us.

We will be using a combination of LAM and His wisdom.
IF we ever have sex again I'm thinking we might go this route, although there has been no real discussion. I asked DH his thoughts on birth control (I'd like a third, he's happy with two) and he didn't give me any straight answer. Last time we were willing to go for #2 whenever it happened, so we used LAM and it worked perfectly until I got AF back at 13mo pp.
In the past pull&pray has worked with no issues, so we might go that route. I won't consider BCP's until DS is done BF and I don't see that being anytime soon.

My OB started me on progesterone-only BC at 5 weeks PP. I know it's not supposed to impact milk supply, but mine dropped within a few days. I was still feeding the baby ok, but after 5 days I couldn't pump anything - I literally got nothing but a few drops when I tried to pump. I stopped taking the BC, and my supply came back up. Not sure if it was coincidence or not, but I won't be chancing hormonal BC again until after 6 months.
Me and birth control don't get along too well. I tried the mini pill after my first period came and I was on it for 3 days then started bleeding and I bled for another 6 days (longer than my actual period) and I got off of it. I pretty much stopped bleeding immediately. I had something similar with depo, except I was on it for a year and bled all year long. So, when I had bled for 6 days straight immediately following my period, I told myself I wasn't putting myself through it again and just got off of it. I'll do the NFP, OPK's and pull & pray method. NFP worked for us in between baby #2 and #3 (didn't have to worry about #3 to #4 since DH had a vasectomy - then a reversal later).
