My baby sleeps fine but I can't. My back hurts, my head hurts, I am over tired. I tried different teas but they don't work. I took some chamomile pills when I was pregnant but I cant take them breastfeeding because it has another herb that can try up milk.
Any idea? Aside from wine because I sleep worse. I did warm bath. I cant switch out of mommy mode and sleep. I am always listening for him.
How about yoga? Many of the DVDs they sell have a reflection or meditation part at the end. I always feel so relaxed I could fall right asleep. Maybe some aroma therapy? I know they have the night time washes for baby with lavender scent maybe you could look into something like that for yourself.
I was like you with dd1 and I realized that the one thing that helped me feel at ease at night, since I was already co sleeping was to hold her in the nook of my arm. Its a position that I can't roll over her , it would have literally broken my arm, or I would face her but put my hand on her so I could feel her there and breathing. eventually I stopped holding her but always faced her because I always wanted to be able to see her. I do it even now. So when dd1 wakes up in the middle of the night I don't sleep because I can't face both girls at the same time..... Lol
I really hope you can get some sleep soon. Also, if you can, try to at least nap. It helps.
