Will you go back to work after the baby or be a stay at home mom?

I've never worked outside of the home since being married, so I'll continue being a SAHM

I wish I could be a SAHM. We can't afford it. We are both teachers, and we don't make that much. I will take off April and May. I may teach summer school in June unless I can convince DH to teach summer school (that's how we afford our yearly vacation). I will then go back to full-time in August.

I'll be a working mommy. We could live on just DH's income, but I like working. Luckily I get a nice flexiable schedule and can work from home.

I'm going to be a stay at home mommy as well. I'm going to work through my entire pregnancy and then once she/he is here then I will leave

I wish I could be a stay at home mom but we need the income too. My mom has already offered to help out but I wouldn't let her do more than 2 days a week or else they turn into another "mom" not fun times with grandma
I'm lucky cause we get one year off for maternity leave in Canada. Next step is to find a good day care

I plan to be a SAHM again... It'll probably be about mid-way through my pregnancy. Actually I was going to be a SAHM mom either way, so this baby is just a bonus to the stay at home part. Now instead of sending one to school, one to preschool, and getting stuff done around the house, I'll have a little "baby & me time"... lol I'm kinda excited about that actually.

Like LacyMay I will be working through my pregnancy (@ least as much as I can. It's a pretty physical job) then hopefully staying home full time once baby arrives. If that is not possible then I will work very part time.

I work a pretty physical job and last time was able to work up till 10 days before labor. I'm hoping I am that lucky again this time. I am also Canadian so I get a year off work then I will go back full-time. I love my job, but I am in the field a lot which can be long hours and I do travel once a month for a couple days. That will be hard on DH when I go back having two little ones to look after by himself. Lucky he rocks He has a full-time job as well but steadier hours than me so he does all the daycare pick-ups/drop offs and watches Tegan when I'm off in the woods

i want SO badly to stay home with my kids. I am trying to work out a budget that will allow for it but im not sure its going to be possible. I am praying super super hard about it. I never thought i'd want to stay home, i also never thought i'd want more than 2 kids. So our financial situation is set up around two incomes. I wish i hadnt done that! gotta cut back, which is harder than never starting out with it

I'll go back 2-3 days a week. I like working a little plus I work with friends so its a little social time and income combined. My mom or MIL babysit while I work so it works out nicely.

I will be working, I work part time now, and I work for myself so I make my own hours and work when I want. So it works well for us, I can basically revolve my schedule around my children.

Not only will I go back to work but I will probably only be able to take 3-4 weeks off. we're going to use our taxes to help supplement my income because I don't have paid maternity leave. If our mortgage could wait, if gladly take longer. But I love my profession and I plan on working, always.

Here in NJ it is completely unpaid leave... I will definitely go back to work teaching after but maybe if I can swing it, I will wait until September! I hope!

Will be going back to work Unless some amazing work-from-home opportunity pops up, we need my income to survive. I also have completely unpaid maternity leave, but I have saved up enough money to carry my portion of the bills while I take my 12 weeks. Still hoping that dream job opens up in the next nine months! LOL.

I work from home as the editor of a magazine. I'll continue to do it. I really love my job. I made a goal to never work outside the home, even if it meant we'd be in a tiny house and only have one car.
