To my first doctor appointment! I don't have an OB/Midwife yet, so I'm going to see my GP to confirm the pregnancy. Insurance won't cover a thing until we have some doctor somewhere say "yeah, she's knocked up", so my GP said he'd confirm it and give me some different OBs to check out.
Hoping to see/hear heartbeat!

And I'm back! It was super quick, I think I spend more time driving there and back then actually there!
He did a urine test to confirm pregnancy, guess what? I'm pregnant. I know, shocked me too.
And we did get to see the heart beat! It was a very adorable heart beat, no photo print out, he just used the u/s machine they have in the office so it's super basic. My dates are off a little, I'm a little further then I thought (he put me right at 7wks), but I overbake and have big kids, so I'm not thinking about it a lot. And he is sending me for blood work, I'll go tomorrow to get it done (they're always packed in the afternoon so I didn't feel like dealing with it). And I got a list of OBs to call and speak with. He did say he thought I'd be a good canidate for a midwife/birth center birth, I'm low risk, cope well with pain, and had an easy pregnancy last time.
Overall it was pretty simple and quick. But at least we now know bubble (the new nickname) is safely tucked away.

Great news Lily!! I hope I'm a good candidate for a midwife but they are so in demand right now (in Alberta, Canada) the chances of getting in with one are slim....
