I'm really really nervous about this appointment. I know she's going to read me the riot act about my blood sugar and keeping it under control, and I'm okay with that, I need that kind of motivation to keep me on track. I'm just scared in general, I guess. I don't remember being this scared with either of my first two kids, but I wasn't a type 2 diabetic then either.

Appointment went well, EDD is officially 3/22/13. Saw Macadamia and her little heart beating away. I'm being referred to 3 different specialists and will be seen weekly for a while.

My appt is today and Im trying not to worry. My BS wasn't in great control when I got pregnant either. As soon as I found out, control got better but its not great so I know where you are coming from.

glad it went ok & that you've gotten your levels lower! I'm sure they're just trying to be conservative in monitoring you until you've got everything under control and maybe the specialists you'll see can help you with that too.

I'll be seeing a perinatologist, a pediatric cardiologist and a diabetes specialist, and my OB on a weekly basis for the next few weeks. I had to spill the beans to the boss, since I'm going to be out so much.

I find OB docs to be much more effective at yelling and helping keep your BG under control than primary care docs
