When I am lying down, sometimes if I turn abruptly or sneeze, I get this almost tearing sensation in my lower left abdominal area. I have to grab that area since it hurts. I don't really remember having this before, but it's been a few years. Any thoughts?

Yes I know the feeling. I was told its the scar tissue from previous c-section. I would mention it to your doctor next time, but I wouldn't worry about it to much.

Sounds similar to round ligament pain...I get that pain sometimes when I sneeze or turn quickly...it's very painful and I have to grab my tummy sometimes.

I get this if I roll over wrong in bed. I have had a c-section before, but i think it's round ligament pain. The doctor told me round ligament pains are worse with each pregnancy.

I agree, I think it's round ligament pain because I get it too if I move too quickly or sneeze and I'm in the wrong position when doing so.

I have never had a c-section, but I've definitely experienced the tearing sensation in my abdomen when making any sudden stretchy movements.

Good to hear it's normal! I was kind of worried since I've had three sections that something might be going wrong in there with all that scar tissue.

I would still bring it up to your OB at your next appointment just to be on the safe side.

I think I'm having this RLP too. I turned over in bed the other night and the pain actually woke me out of my sleep OUCH. And I've never had a c-section....

I have this too! If I am laying down or cough it almost feels like my left part of my tummy is "contracting" or if I sneeze or turn wrong. It is worse when I am laying down though.
