I had my 35 week appointment today. I'm dilated to 2 1/2 and cervix is very soft. The doctor didn't lift any of my restrictions yet, still on meds and bed rest. Weird thing is that since going on bed rest, I have lost five pounds. I thought for sure I would be gaining a lot more. He is not concerned though, so I'm not either.
I had my 39 week appointment today. Baby is head down, heartbeat lovely and strong, measuring on target for about 9lbs at the moment, that's if I don't go overdue (which I did with both my other children).
I'm at the doctors now because I just don't feel right. My 37 week appt is tomorrow but I just feel like my heart is racing and completely wiped out, with alot of pressure and tightening. I'm sure its nothing of course, but I had to call because I can not stand not knowing what is going on. I hope they check me tonight for more dilation and not make me wait until tomorrow. I'm just so done. :/
I have my next appointment Friday at 4:30, I'll be 39w1d
I'm contemplating calling my OB this morning, been having sharp sharp pains on my upper stomach since last night and it hurts so bad! Its now tender to the touch and if I sit up straight it hurts.
I know we can all have different pains...especially toward the end. But you might want to try calling your OB and checking up on this. Tenderness and pain in the upper abdomen could be a sign of preeclampsia.
Other symptoms might be severe and/or persistent headaches and nasea/vomiting.
Of course some of these "symptoms" could be from perfectly logical sources. Not enough water (= headaches), nasea (= labor??).
