Sorry hon! I know it can be frustrating when you hear that. If you are open to Red Rasp Leaf Tea and EPO I would try those first to get the cervix thinned out so the baby can drop more into the pelvis and help with dilation.
Always missing my 3 angels. 2/9/06, 3/12/11, 5/22/12
Went in for my ultrasound today and then back to my doctor for the report. Baby is measuring around 11lbs 6oz (yikes) Hopefully this little one isnt that big but on the screen he or she looked pretty squished.
Have to go to a specialist on monday and im hoping they will do something for me then, if I dont go into labour on my own.
Good luck....lets hope fore yor sake the ultrasound tech is off on that estimate.

No explanation for losses
I'm also at 39 weeks and ready to be done with this pregnancy. I just have to keep reminding myself that the longer Baby E is on the inside, the longer s/he has to develop properly, and that it's perfectly acceptable to go to 40...or even 42!...weeks.
I understand that, but im 5ft and change, have GD and am the size of a moose lol. I wanted to have a vaginal birth but now im not so sure.
I know ultrasounds can be 1-2 pounds off but REALLY hope that means 9lbs and not 13! lol I can probably handle pushing out a 9lb baby not so sure about a 13lb one. I just hope the specialist will have some more encouraging news for me (and hopefully a smaller measurement) on monday.
Wow. 13 pounds would be a big baby! The ultrasound is probably off by a couple pounds the other way.
I was a bit "overdue" with my second son and he was almost 11 pounds. It was hard getting him out (he had his hand by his head!) but it can be done! So don't be discouraged! You should be able to handle a 9 (or even 10!) pound baby just fine.
