I'm just curious, how many of us are clean fanatics and how many would just like to be?

I am not a clean fanatic, and I wouldn't want to be...it's just too much work!

Most ppl would consider me a bit fanatical but I think I'm a wannabe because I'm not up to my "standards", ugh!

I am like you, I want to be very clean and organized, and I can get myself there, but I can't keep myself there. It stresses me out a great deal!

Reasonably sanitary and presentable. That's my mantra. I don't mind a bit of dust here and there, or if a small toy is on the living room floor for a couple of days. If someone unexpectedly drops by my house, it won't look like a model home. But it's at least clean and orderly enough to show that I care about my place and the health of my family (don't even get me started about how much sickness a dirty house can cause).

I get a bit pushy about the family, and especially DH, putting their stuff away. But that's mainly because DH is HORRIBLE about this. So I need to counteract it with a tough stand, or else we'll have piles of stuff all over the house. If he was pretty good about putting things away, I would probably be more relaxed with that.

I'm not sure. I love entertaining and I don't mind if someone spills or leaves crumbs or something. But I cannot leave my house messy and go do errands, sleep, or head out of town, you see. I must always leave my house clean.
I've gotten much better, though, in recent years. Having a 3-year-old is does it...the Biscuit loves to do craft projects, loves to paint, loves glitter and glue. She gets to indulge in that to her heart's content, and I'd never choose a pristine home over her experimenting with that, her cooking, ar anything else. DH keeps his side of our office a jumbly mess...I've learned to overlook it as best I can.
LOL so you can all decide if ol' BiscuitsMom is a fanatic or not
