I do mine every couple of years or so. When we moved here the house was 10 years old and they had never been cleaned!

I'm doing them now, first I vacuum them then I wipe with Lysol water.

I will usually wipe down my lights whenever I have to change a bulb. My ceiling fans I try to clean a couple of times a year.

I do mine once every week or two. I'm a bit obsessive with the fans since we all have horrible allergies.

I... dont.

Never cleaned a light fixture, I figure all the dust comes off the fan when I turn it on.

My hubby just cleaned our fans (and I'm pretty sure it was the first time since we moved in over a year ago...)

We dust lights when the bulbs get changed.

We live near the ocean and the windows are open 365 days a year so the salt air creates a coat on everything which means we have to clean windows and fixtures every few months or dust bunnies start building up. The humidity wreaks havoc on fan blades too so we actually have to replace the blades every few years.
