What do you do with all those wonderful instruction manuals, warranties, and assembly instructions that come with everything?

I keep them all in a filing cabinet. I never used to, but about 8 years ago we bought a freezer and it just died after 6 months, so it was still covered under warranty and I couldnt find the warranty and reciept anywhere. Luckily the store was lovely enough to print us off another copy, as they keep record of sales in their system for 5 years, but it taught me to always keep them.

OMG. We have a huge box of them somewhere. Most of them end up in DH's office. Thank you for this post, I need to organize that mess.

We keep ours in a binder. Each one is in it's own clear plastic cover.

Mine are all in 2 bankers boxes....somewhat organized into groups.

Do you keep all the ones that come with items like kids sippy cups, toys, etc?
How often do you go through them to purge? I'm sure I could find some to things we got rid of years ago.

No I don't keep any of the ones that I don't (or might) not need, but there are a bunch of ones for electronics that DH hangs on to for some reason, not that he ever looks at them.

2nd that. I have a binder for "Electronics", "Garage & Garden", "Appliances" and "Miscellaneous". I use heavy duty clear sheet protectors and each binder is about 3-4" thick. Works like a charm and it's easy to find things at a glance.

I keep them in a filing cabinet. Once a year, I go thru them and purge the ones that we no longer need....

You guys are really inspiring me to go sort all of mine into binders too! I am dreaming of how easy it would be to find what I needed that way! Love the idea of having different binders for different categories!
