I would love to start meal planning...but our schedules are so random in the summer! I think we'll do leftovers tonight, tomorrow we are cooking out at a friend's house, and Wednesday we are cooking out at my brother's. The rest of the week is up in the air!
Does anyone know of any good meal planning sites or calendars you can print?
I just started meal planning not too long ago and am LOVING it! One thing I really like is that if our schedule changes last minute, I can move my meals around to accommodate. I only plan 5 meals a week (working on trying to fix breakfast once a week to make it 6), the rest of the time is leftovers or an occasional eating out. I started out with this printable meal planner and then adapted it. For the meals we have leftovers, I pull everything out of the fridge and set it out buffet style. It's amazing how much more of the leftovers get eaten! It's also helped us cut back on the boxed and frozen stuff. And it feels so good to know exactly what I need to fix...no more spending all afternoon trying to think of what to fix for supper. I also don't have to worry about not having the ingredients on hand since I write out my shopping list right after planning the meals.
All that said...I need to go get my meal plan for the rest of this week figured out. I didn't get it done last week like I should of. I'll come back and update what's on the menu later.

I don't really meal plan, but yesterday I made some "breakfast muffins" with egg, sausage, Bisquick etc for the girls' breakfasts. I may make some banana bread later on, since we have exactly 3 overripe bananas. As for dinner this week, not sure....

Wednesday- green beans, red potatoes, and ham in crockpot
Thursday thru Saturday- I am working concessions at the local festival. I will be eating fair food.LOL
