When you have a pet, no matter you regard it as a pet or a family member, I wonder if you will change your home decors in addition to the pet supplies? I have a cat, I have changed my sofa material and provide her with a cat scratcher. So what do you do when you have a dog or cat at home?

All our cats and our dog are all outside pets. We let our dog in the house to sleep in the mud room if there is a storm as he is scared of storms. So we don't have any decor for inside the house for our pets. The 2 doghouses outside (one for the dog and one for the cats) are both equipped with heat lamps so they can stay warm in the winter. They are also carpeted to keep in heat and the dogs house has a pet bed in it.

Nope....just pet beds. We have one dog and one cat. They are both indoor and outdoor. We keep the kitty litter in the basement...he usually goes outside though. Their dishes are in the kitchen and we keep their food in plastic containers in the closet. They do not get on the furniture very often. The dog pretty much never does. When the cat lays on the furniture we just use a sticky roller to clean off the hair...but I usually make him get off if I see him up there. Our pets are pretty good though.

When we had a cat before I bought him a cat tree because cat tends to scratch too much. Apart from that he is trained to sleep there because before the cat tree, he tends to sleep inside our cabinets.
