The thing that has helped me most is to come up with a list of things that need done in each room and work them into an order that goes quickly.
I also try not to multi-task too much. If I focus on getting one thing done at a time I tend to get more accomplished as I don't spend near as much time running back and forth from one project to another.
Hi...I would say the easiest way that I keep the house really clean is to clean as you go. example..when im cooking I wash as I go. If Theres any laundry I wash it, even if its a small load. Before my children can move from one project or craft, they must clean up first. Keep a list posted of what needs to be done weekly and monthly and dont skip it no matter what.
When cleaning, find a routine and stick with it. Merry Maids suggests beginning at the top of a room and working your way down. Dust first and run the vacuum cleaner last. Find a method that works for you in each room and stick with it. Once you have a routine, cleaning those rooms will be much easier.
I buy a set of cheap mattresses toppers and wash them with strongly scented fabric conditioners. The smell then permeates through your bed linens and throughout the room, creating a lovely ambiance in the room
