When choosing the wall color, first consider the size and shape of your room. You can make a small room look bigger by choosing a light color for the walls, like pale yellow or seafoam green. Sherwin-Williams suggests painting a long and narrow room two different colors, with a darker shade on the smaller end walls to give the appearance of a wider room. Also, consider how much light the room receives when choosing a wall color. Natural light during the day and artificial light at night will impact how the color looks in your room. Paint a patch of your wall in a few colors, and see how they respond to natural and artificial light before choosing the final color.
