Here is my article for the week! This blog post comes to you from "The Complete Guide to Imperfect Homemaking". I thought that this would be a great way to tidy up the house without really thinking about it! Great for people that need that little extra motivation to get started cleaning! Something a little different than the "set the timer and clean" game.
A friend and I do this with our kids Especially when we all get together!
We do it slightly different though. We'll say "Okay, pick up and put away 5 things while you crab walk! GO!!" Then when they all have done that and there's still more to put away we'll say, "Okay, pick up and put away 3 things walking backwards! GO!!" etc etc etc etc etc until it's all picked up. They LOVE it and just think it's awesome fun. Even the teens will do it with the younger kids
Mama to a few:
L (5-21-88); Mi (dn, 8-29-91); A (10-27-91); I (10-2-92); Ma (dd, 4-17-94);
N (10-29-95); S (10-13-98); Le (10-28-00); C (3-7-03)
8forus - That sounds like sooooo much fun! I will definitely have to give that a try with my kids!
I think that this is something that I would like to incorporate on top of my daily cleaning schedule, just to help keep the rooms that were done earlier in the week clean longer. Maybe with a smaller number like 25 or so.
