Hi Kristy! Nice to have you here!

You probably already know me from my intro on the SAHM board. I'm Kelsey, wife to Jason and mommy to Kendra (5) and Josh (2 1/2).

As for schedules, I have my house broken up into 7 different areas and then have a list of things that need done in each area which I keep in page protectors in a 3 ring binder. As I get things done, I check them off with a dry erase marker (this way I can reuse the same sheet over and over again). Here are my sections: Monday - The great room (kitchen, dining, and living rooms) and hallway; Tuesday - office (this is also the day I sit down and do any office work - bills; balance books, etc); Wednesday - den, sitting room (both downstairs) and stairs; Thursday - both bathrooms and the mud room; Friday - craft room and exercise room; Saturday - all the bedrooms; Sunday - work a little on the storage room (This is supposed to be my easy day). I try to wash dishes every morning and do laundry as needed.

You can also find examples of schedules in the schedules sticky: http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f1...schedules.html (Schedules)

Of course I recognize both of you!!! I got this board from your siggy Kelsey...lol

Thanks for the Welcome!

Thanks for sharing your schedules and the link. I'm going to try to create one for myself. I'm sure I'll keep things neater that way.

No problem! I think it has helped me keep a cleaner house for sure! I don't seem to "over clean" and lose motivation near as much. I used to try and clean as much of the house as I could and then I wouldn't want to touch a thing for a couple weeks. That just didn't work at all. It feels good knowing I have at least 1 clean room in my house at all times.

Yes, that's totally my problem. I spend all day cleaning, then I don't want to do it again so I let things go and it takes me all day a few days later to do it again. I need to maintain it, like only spend an hour or 2 a day cleaning and spending more time with the kids.

I'm working on a schedule this week!!
