Have you ever thought about having a water birth?

Does your hospital offer it?

I'm not sure that there are any preparations, I just need to either rent a pool or buy one and get a liner for easier clean up. Very much looking forward to it

I had a home water birth (actually at my midwife's house) with my younger DD. With my older DD, I labored in a tub but gave birth in a bed. I have no idea what I'm going to do this time as I'm trying to work out some insurance issues and I really don't want to drive 3.5 hours again.

Water helps relieve the pain of the contractions, and it provides baby with a smooth transition into the world.
