I have been in a little disbelief and somewhat nervous with getting my bfp because my first and only other pregnancy ended in miscarriage in May. So I have continuously tested to keep reaffirming the positive. My problem is that I tested last night before bed and the line was lighter than what it was 12dpoa (I'm currently 2 days after my missed period). I decidecided that last night's result was because it wasn't a FMU so I tested this morning. The line was even lighter than last night! I have an appt with my doctor tomorrow and I'm sure he'll do bloodwork butif I'm just so scared! I want a healthy pregnancy and baby. :/

Sorry for the errors. Did this on my phone.

Update: my hcg levels doubled but I have had brown spotting for the last three days. I go for an international ultrasound next week. We shall see how things are progressing.

Did you drink a lot of water before both pees?
Did you drink a lot of water before going to bed and not pee during the night?

That can affect the outcome of your test.
I used a dip stick pg test last night after I got home from a BBQ & the line was so faint it was almost non-existent. I panicked and forced another pee with a FRER and the line was the darkest I've ever seen.

I did not drink any water before going to bed, got up to pee around 3:30 and then around 9 am, I used FMU with a dip stick pg test and got the darkest line I've ever gotten on a dip stick.

I know it's hard not to worry ... and I'm sure POAS consistently it just setting you (and I) up for more worry, which isn't good for us or our babies.

Maybe try again later in the day - later urine may work better for you.

Since you have a previous m/c I'm sure you doc will order some blood tests to put your mind at ease.

Good Luck hunny, I'm sure everything will be fine.

I did not drink a lot of water last night. I didn't pee in the middle of the night either. I guess I should stop testing and see what my doctor says. Thanks for your encouragement.

Try not to panic. Definitely agree with Melissa. While HPT's will tell you if you are pregnant or not, it's not something that you should rely on to tell you how your pregnancy is going. The best thing to do is just try and get a blood test. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything is okay and you have a sticky bean!

I agree with the girls above. If it helps, I took the a few more tests over the past 2 days, and some of them were VERY faint. I tried to not think about it. Going to your doctor will ease your mind, like you said. I will be thinking of you and keep us posted on your dr. appt

Glad to hear your numbers doubled! I had lots of spotting- some bright red- during my son's pregnancy through the whole first trimester. I had a couple of U/S's to check it out and while we never figured out exactly what it was (we think it was a pocket of leftover blood that came out as my uterus expanded), it didn't affect anything.

I'm sure everything will be okay. I had brown spotting the other day, completely freaked out over it since i've never had it, and when they did the ultrasound there was a little bean in there.

Your numbers are doubling and that's fantastic.

I had a similar experience w my last pregnancy. I poas every day for three days and the line kept getting darker. Then on the forth day it was lighter. Aabice has previous experiences w miscarriage and that was how it started, I instantly wrote the pregnancy off and waited. Two week later I was still waiting. I finally took another hpt and it was super dark super fast. Tht prompted a dr appointment. End of story is that I wa still pregnant. Here's to hoping!

I am so sorry I know there are people who bleed red and go on to have healthy babies. When are you getting into the doctor again?

Just an update on everything.

Have had two ultrasounds since last post on this thread. Both times baby measured as it should. Got to see the heartbeat both times which was wonderful. There was growth between the first and second ultrasounds which I am also happy about. The only thing that has me just a little concerned is that my progesterone levels weren't going up so my doctor prescribed progesterone cream for me. I go for another ultrasound September 10th. I've been very lucky having a caring ob-gyn. He has been doing all the ultrasounds free of charge. He told me I could even come every week if I wanted but I think that is a bit much.

I hope everyone continues to have healthy pregnancies and those that are trying again, I wish you all
