Good question. I really don't know yet! We want to tell our immediate families very soon, but just haven't figured out when. Most likely we will take my family out to dinner and just tell them--that's what we did last time. I'll have to call my older sister though--she lives out of state. And we'll have to call DH's immediate family, too--they're scattered all over the country.

My SO wanted to make his parents T-Shirts that say "Grandma & Grandpa" on them ... but I'm not so sure I like that idea LOL

This will be baby #5 (for me), baby #4 for SO. Everyone called us "crazy" when we told them about our youngest, my 4th child. My MIL is the biggest culprit! She has been irritated/rude, about every pregnancy....not sure why, cause we pay our bills, take great care of our children, and VERY rarely ask for ANYTHING, from ANYONE! SO, needless to say....we will be waiting as long as possible. I want to enjoy the thought of having another blessing, before we have to defend ourselves! I have told a couple close friends, who are very happy for us!

Told hubby first at first sign of the second line! Then kids, then called my mom on phone from work, next the boss in person, next my dad and step-mom in person, and then his mom and dad on the phone. I am very impatient!

besides DH, my BFF is the only other person that knows. Since we haven't seen the baby on the 2 u/s's I have had, we are waiting to tell anyone else. We have always waited until atleast 12 wks so that won't be any different this time either.

Several months ago, my daughter asked for a baby brother or sister for her birthday, which is 8/31. So I am having a shirt made that says "I'm going to be a big sister!" & giving it to her when we have family over for her birthday. My BFF & sister already know because I just couldn't wait to tell them.

I'm going to tell my dad that I have the perfect present for him coming into the Church. He is going to become a member of the Catholic Church next Easter. I think he'll like that.

I also am going to tell my sister that she can finally buy me the diaper bag that she sells on 31 Gifts.

As far as facebook I'm going to probably wait until around 9-12 weeks (not sure yet) but I'm going to take a new picture and put the words "Am I glowing yet?" over it and see if anyone figures it out.

Elise's birthday party is Labor day and we already got her a "big sister" shirt that she will unwrap as a gift. Everyone will be there, hopefully so we can get everybody in one shot. Simple idea, big impact

I'm working on a couple of cards with the number 2 theme to print up and send to both sets of parents in the mail. I'm hoping to time it so they'll get them on a Saturday so we'll be home to answer the excited (or confused!) calls. I'm just 5 weeks on Monday, so I'd like to try and hold out a few more weeks until 6-8 before spilling. It's going to be a challenge.

I'll trickle in other close family and friends, and then will do the big reveal on FB around 15-16 weeks after Halloween where we'll have pictures from our party where I'm hoping I can get hubby to go for a Fargo theme so I can be the pregnant cop.

we got my mom and dad onesies that said "i love grandma" and "grandpa's lil buddy" and wrapped them and had them open them at the same time when we were pregnant with my DS. and they LOVED it! might be something to consider there was bawling and screaming when they opened it!

good for you!! i don't understand people who criticize others for having more than 3 kids. If you can afford it, why not? There's nothing greater than a big happy and loving family. You give your kids friends for life in their siblings, which is an amazing gift! I'd love to have a large family.

Thank you, fro your kind words & support! It's amazing how many people think they have the right to make backhanded comments, when they see a large family! I hope you get the large family you are hoping for!

I am planning to avoid saying anything for as long as possible. Ideally I would tell my family after the baby is born, lol. I'll just tell them I have been gaining weight until it is just too obvious and then I will break the news. They will not be happy or excited. I am a SAHM and love it but they really want me to focus on going back to work.
