I was signed up to run a 5k at the end of September, but I decided today that I'm definately not doing it. I did a ton of walking all over Pittsburgh today, and I had to stop a few times because I was having cramps on the left side of my uterus, and I am still getting short of breath pretty easily. I don't want to be a wimp, but the cramps scared me!
~Thank you AlexAiden Mommy for this beautiful siggy~
None yet... I have a really achey back at the moment and am worrying that it could be the start of PGP as I have pretty loose joints anyway. So my plan is to probably start aquanatal classes in a few weeks, as the ones in my area say they're for ladies who are 15 weeks+. I may also think about pilates, but the thing is that I'm so unfit that any time I do exercise I'm exhausted really quickly, and I know you're not supposed to tire yourself out too much! Will talk to the midwife when I finally have my appointment with her - over 2 weeks to go.
Do you find yourselves much more short of breath then before your pregnancy? Is this normal? My hubby and I signed up for a 10 mile race in Disney World at the end of this month. We were training together and were up to about 6-7 miles when I found out I was preg. Because I have lots of anxiety about losing the baby, I decided I would just walk the race (have to keep a 16 min mile pace). Over the past few weeks, even a fast paced walk seems much more difficult. I get breathless much faster I think, or maybe I am just more conscious of it. So I think hubby may be doing the race alone and I will just get a Disney vacation out of it!
I was exercising pretty regularly before I started getting the never ending headache. I haven't started up again yet. One night I did stop right away because of cramping, but otherwise I was just taking it a little easier. I would like to get started again because I think it was helping me feel more energized overall.
