I have plenty of time to pick out names since I'm not due until March. But we have gotten a girls name picked, but are having a little trouble with a boys name. A girl will be Holly Carol. A boy will be Jude but we can't decide on a middle name. Here's the thing. My husband really wants him to be called Ace so we are trying to think of a middle name that could be shortened to Ace as a nick name. And we can't think of much. Lol

Can anybody think of a name that we could shorten to Ace?

Jason? Chase?

Really though, we call our son James Phillip all sorts of wacky things all the time. Scooby, Champ, Duder... I think you can call him Ace without it being short for anything.

I agree. I think you can simply use Ace as just a nickname

That being said, if we ever had a second girl, I'd consider naming her Matilda Anne or something like that since our last name starts with C and then we could call her Mac for short based on her initials.

That doesn't help if you're set on Jude- but just another way to think about how to get "Ace" out it!

A friend of mine did that with her son. His initials are TAD, so they call him Tad. I think it's cute!

You could just name him Jude Ace, but that does sound a bit like Judas....

I had suggested that, and then that was my husband's reply. LOL
