I think maybe it depends on the quality of dopplers the dr's have. Glad you got to hear it, it's nice to hear when you don't get to see!
Okay, maybe I'm one of the weird ones, but I would rather HEAR the baby's heartbeat than SEE it any day. I love, love, love the sound, but I really hate seeing the heartbeat during the ultrasound because there is no sound with it. Yes, I know it's probably crazy, but the sound is way more reassuring than the sight.
