My SIL suprised me with a bin full of maternity clothes this week and along with it, her fetal doppler! I thought about buying one for myself, but decided against spending the money -- what a nice surprise!! I had no idea that she had one already!
When I counted the beats myself for 60 seconds, I counted around 90, but then I tried using the heartbeat counter on the doppler (I think that must be the heartbeat counter when I clicked one of the buttons and a digital number appeared with a heart icon in the top left). The number went between 120 and 135.
I really hope I'm not listening to my own pulse when I use it! THe sound really helps to feel connected to the baby!
Does anyone here who uses a doppler find that the number that displays is higher than if you try to count the beats yourself for 60 seconds?
