So I got a home Doppler because I have nooo symptoms ( I'm 11 weeks and 3 days ) so I wanted some reassurance everything is going well... I started using it about a weeks and a half ago and thought I had found the heartbeat but it seemed slow I had no clue you could hear your own heartbeat so far down!

Well as you may have guessed I heard my own heartbeat for the last week and a half thinking it was my baby! Hahaha

Well after looking up things (at that time I didn't realize I was listening to my heart) about why the heartbeat was low I found a site with home Doppler tips one of the tips said to use the Doppler in the middle of your lower stomach right above pelvic bone well low and behold I HEARD THE GALLOPING HORSES LOL

Yay!

Hooray for hearing the baby's heartbeat. That is one of the best sounds.

for weeks I kept trying to use my doppler and kept picking up my own heartbeat too! I kept getting frustrated but a few days ago I heard the "galloping horses" and was so excited

That happened to me too! Earlier in the week my midwife was able to pick up the baby's heartbeat so I got to hear the difference between mine (which registers 130 on my doppler!) and the baby's. So I tried to listen myself at home 2 nights ago, and I definitely picked up the baby's heartbeat! Mine was still around 130 and loud, baby's was 157 and much quieter/faster.
