My little sister asked for my help to find riddles she can use for a project. Thought it would be fun to share them here ...

1. It walks on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon and three legs in the evening. What is it?

2. What always runs but never walks, often murmurs, never talks, has a bed but never sleeps, has a mouth but never eats?

3. What is in seasons, seconds, centuries and minutes but not in decades, years or days?

4. Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is.

5. If you break me I do not stop working, If you touch me I may be snared, If you lose me nothing will matter.

I'll post the answers later today

a baby crawls on all fours, an adult walks on 2 legs and an elderly person walks with a cane(3rd leg)

and there isn't another word that ends in GRY - the answer is "language" - it's a trick question because it asks what the 3rd word in "The English Language" is ... get it?

hehehe

The language one took me awhile to understand even after I knew the answer. Thanks for the explanation. These were fun.

This one is not really a riddle and kinda silly, hear back in JR high but here it goes.

A farmer needs to get to the other side of the river in his boat, he has with him a chicken, a fox and a bag of oats. He can only take one at a time, in what order does he take them across the river? Remember, you don't want any of them to be eaten by another.

You bring the chicken over. Then the oats. Then bring the chicken back. Bring the fox over. Then bring the oats over. ?
