I can't stop cleaning!! I have organized and reorganized every room in my house. I go into her nursery everyday and fiddle with something else! I can not wait for her furniture to be delivered in the next two week!! My second shower is March 10th and I can't contain my excitement. DH and I were at BBB tonight and we bought half our registry. HAHHA. We are both a tad excited!

Not really but everyone else thinks so, lol. I didn't really get it with DD either. But right after Christmas I started really cracking down on m house to do list. It's more because I hope to move soon after baby is born so I need to do all the little things to be able to sell this house. But I am working on baby's room every chance I get.

I've been feeling it and I've been trying to get things done but I'm not getting much accomplished. It probably didn't help that 3 of my kids came down with a stomach bug so that added to the chaos in our house. Also my energy is very limited.....I get tired so quickly.

This is the BEST idea I have heard!! Wonder if I can talk hubby into it......

ME! I got it this time with Mia too. But...

It is soooo much easier to nest with no small kids at home. I did get a start on the girls room, hoping to have the house ready for when mister comes!

I am constantly in a nesting state. I'm an OCD neat freak. Yes, its nice to have a clean organized house, but sometimes I wish I could relax more and worry less about a few dishes in the sink or a little dust! Super nest mode will take over in few weeks and I will be even crazier then usual!!

Okay so it might have started today.. I ordered everything we need to paint and decorate the nursery and I might have scrubbed all the walls in the nursery top to bottom..

Glad there are a couple of BTDT gals that also never really got the nesting vibe last time! I never really felt the need to compulsively clean or organize.

I am eager to start getting things set up in the new room though. We picked up a dresser off Craigslist this weekend and now I'm in the mode of "ok, baby's coming- let's get things set up and just done with." Like I want to get the furniture in place, get the gear out and reviewed for inventorying, and pull out the newborn clothes from storage for some laundry runs behind them. But I could care less about the general cleanliness.

I have the urge but I've had the worst cold this past week plus it's nearly impossible to nest when I'm constantly cleaning up after my 2 boys! And we only have a 3 bedroom house so this poor kid doesn't even have a room. He will be in our room for a while and then probably move into my youngest sons room with him. I would love to scrub our baseboards but getting down on the floor is so uncomfortable. Plus when my kids finally go to sleep I'm exhausted! Could I whine a little more???

YES! I didn't at all last time, because we lived in a crappy apartment and were moving right around baby-having time. I feel like I got totally gypped! So this time I'm going a bit overboard lol. DH and I are getting things ready here in AK, and I'm having so much fun with my grand visions on our apartment here. But I've also been on the phone getting our apartment in WA ready since we'll be there a month before baby's dd, and possibly a month after... not ideal, but hey it'll be an adventure right?!

I never did, last time. I felt like crap, for one reason or another, most of the pregnancy, and I had a million and one stressors in my life at that time, so I did not ever get the urge to "nest." I'm in a much better place this time around, BUT...I have to say that I'm still not there with the nesting. Like you, I would like to get the baby stuff down from the attic & get all of the baby clothes out and wash them, but apparently not enough yet to actually make it happen.

I've never really had that nesting urge. Some days, I think, "Hmmm, we should go through one room at a time and deep clean it and really have it looking good." Then, I think, "Tomorrow" or "Next weekend".

I would say the closest I came was last time when I moved my hope chest from one side of my bedroom into our closet. I was pretty sure my hubby was going to kill me when he discovered what I'd done. The night they decided to keep me in the hospital and induce me, I sent him home, armed with a list of what to bring back because I didn't have a bag packed. He surprised me and put together the crib while he was home.

We're what you might call last-minute people!

Not me.. I am too exhausted from work to do anything but the bare minimum these days. Plus, my husband needs to re- carpet, re-window, and paint two rooms before we can set up babys room. Holy crap! he better get started!

I know... My son is moving to his big brother bedroom down stairs, so that room needs a makeover. And his old room which the baby will be in is in need of new carpet, paint and window. Our windows are ancient and drafty!
