(If you are not having a home birth...)

How far away from your home is your hospital/birthing center?

We're just a couple of miles away. It will take at most 15 minutes to get there, if we hit all the red lights. The place we used last time was just a few minutes away too. It's one of the bonuses of living in the suburbs of a small New England "city."

25/30 mins. When my son was born I was a 5 min walk away. I actually drove myself to my appointment while I was in labor. I walked to the car, stopped for my contraction. Drove to the parking lot, stopped for the contraction, walked in, contraction, got to the office, contraction....

Depending on traffic, probably 15-20 min at most. If no traffic, 10-15 min.

We have our hospital tour on Thurs so we'll time it out then.

I am about 20 min away going to speed limit driving like a normal responsible human being. However, when I am in labor and my DH is driving then we MIGHT set some type of NASCAR record!!

^ LOL!

Ours is about 20 miles from home, and it takes 20 - 30 minutes to get there, usually. It's the hospital where I work, so if something were to happen at work, I'd be right here.

Same for me! I wanted a home birth (we couldn't find anyone we were comfortable with) but DH wasn't really digging the plan because of all the 'what ifs' so I use to tease him that I could ride a bike to the hospital during labor and still get there is under 5 minutes lol.

If I am driving and there is normal traffic for that area...it takes about 20 minutes. If BF is driving and I'm in labor, about 7 minutes. LOL The interstate exit that we get on is about 2 miles from our house and then it's a straight shot up the interstate and when we get off the exit the hospital is right there. With my boys I was only about 10 blocks from the hospital, but I am excited to be delivering at the hospital that I get to deliver at this time because it is so NICE and new and I love my dr group. I am just excited for this delivery!!

around 20-30 mins depending on traffic. My OB and his wife who is a labor nurse live diagonally through my back yard. We have to pass their house to get to the hospital so I keep joking with them (we're friends outside of work) that I will just stop there and they can deliver me in their bathtub.

We are about 30 minutes away. I am one of the strange people that wouldn't mind a car birth. I figure that if everything is going so well with labor that I can give birth in my car, that's fantastic.

It takes about 20 minutes without a lot of traffic.. but I do live in London, so hoping he does not decide to come at rush hour. I refuse to give birth in a car!
