Well.. I feel like I've had a lot of appointments today, and well , I've had THREE. blah...
The first was with MFM.. the baby is measuring RIGHT on target, weight, femur length, everything is measuring at 32 weeks and he is 57th percentile. They seemed very pleased and I was happy too. Darion was kicking the CRAP out of me the whole time though. THE WHOLE TIME! He hates the ultrasounds. The tech thought it was funny and commented how they love seeing that sort of movement. I was groaning and the whole nine the whole time. *lol*
I talked to the doctor about the regular OB saying that I was "measuring big". He told me flat out to disregard those belly measurements because they are so inaccurate that he can't even explain how inaccurate they can get. He said that it is just a tool that the OB uses to see IF the baby MIGHT be a bit too big, or too small and so they can order an ultrasound for confirmation. He said next time just smile and say OK, and MFM will give me the real measurements during ultrasounds. *lol*
Then I had my nonstress test. The baby was kicking still so I only had to do it for about 15 minutes. The doctor came in to check me and said, "Oh my, yeah we have enough here.. he is looking great" A good steady heart rate, no contractions detected and great fetal movement. You can't beat that.
Then I had my regular OB appointment. I have gained back 4 lbs (after losing 5 last week) The doctor said to not worry about the fluctuations because its probably water weight mostly. Blood pressure was good. My blood tests came back fantastic. A1C(blood glucose) was a 5.. Which is 100% normal. (normal is 4-6) So YAY. They were concerned that I might be anemic since most women get anemia during the last trimester but I was a 12.8 which he said is almost unheard of during this stage in pregnancy so he said that's fantastic!! I told him that I've been eating so many darn leafy green veggies that its not surprising. So he said "It's definitely working."
So all in all not a single darn thing to complain about and all of the doctors told me to keep up the good work.
A really cute side note.. During the ultrasound the doctor said "This baby has a LOT of hair on his head" and he showed us his hair sticking out and floating in the fluid. *lol* It was really cute and funny. I guess Darion has a full head of hair already.
