She is terrified that she will have to choose between me and my sister when it comes to being there with us while we have our babies. My sister was originally due either the 5th or 6th of May which made her 11 or 12 days after me but she scheduled her c-section for the week following mine which puts her just a few days behind me. My mom is worried that I will go late with my pregnancy and the day my sister goes for her surgery I will call saying that I'm in labor.

My sister and I have both assured her that we are okay with which ever she chooses to be with. She's just stressing herself out.

Anyone else have parents that are freaking out? Could just be me, but wondering anyway.

Aw...your poor mom! Too bad she's stressing about this, but I can understand her wanting to be there for both of you. Hopefully she'll be able to!

My sister is about 30 minutes away from my mom and I'm 7 and a half hours away. I pray that she doesn't have to choose. Hopefully we stay a few days apart so that she can be there for both of us. I told her to come to me because I'm her favorite

I'm in the same boat. That was one of my mom's first reactions when we told her - "How am I going to be in 2 places at once?" My sister and I are due 3 days apart. Also, I am going to New Orleans for a long weekend in March so my mom is coming to watch my girls while we're gone. She asked my sister if it was okay before she bought the plane ticket. Now, my sister's OB is planning on delivering her at 36 weeks, which coincides with time that my mom will be here. I feel bad because I know she'd like to be there right after the baby is born. I'm not sure if she is planning on coming to my place when I go into labor or not. My sister and I are about 12 hours apart. My mom lives about 10 minutes from my sister. We shall see......

^^^I'm pretty sure that is what my mom is thinking right now. And my mother-in-law for that matter. She wants to come out right away, too, but I am certain that her and my mom won't be here at the same time. Neither one of them like to share time with us.
